About E2 Technologies

Founded in 2008 and headquartered in Garner, in the Raleigh Metro area, E2 Technologies provides technical consulting and certification services for residential and commercial construction to builders, architects, developers and homeowners in North Carolina and the surrounding areas. Their mission is to promote and provide the best viable solutions for energy efficiency, renewable energy and waste reduction, servicing both residential and commercial industries.

From initial start-up, E2 Technologies has taken an aggressive “live out there” approach to providing solutions for consumers’ needs when buying, building or leasing new homes or offices. E2 Technologies has grown from 1 employee to 10 over its short tenure.

E2 Technologies has partnered with the government-backed ENERGY STAR® initiative to promote, easily identify and certify residential and commercial buildings that are truly energy-efficient. Buildings that earn the ENERGY STAR® label provide lower utility bills, greater comfort and enhanced durability, while helping to protect the environment.

In addition to the above partnership, E2 Technologies actively supports and seeks partnerships with organizations and communities promoting environmental and sustainable progress, such as the North Carolina Sustainable Energy Association, North Carolina Energy Efficiency Alliance, The Solar Energy Society, NC Building Performance Association (NCBPA) and Habitat for Humanity.

E2 Technologies has been recognized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) with a Leadership in Housing Award for three years in a row, for 2010, 2011 and 2012. This award recognizes the important contribution E2 Technologies has made to energy-efficient construction and environmental protection by verifying more than 1200 ENERGY STAR® qualified homes since being founded in late 2008. Collectively, these homes will save customers approximately $536,400 on utility bills.

The environmental benefits of over 1200 ENERGY STAR® qualified homes are equivalent to either of the following:

  • Eliminating the emissions from 586 vehicles
  • Saving 3,556,800 lbs. of coal
  • Planting 972 acres of trees
  • Saving the environment 6,975,600 pounds of CO2 per year
